On Wednesday, October 5th, 2022 Ingham County Animal Control Officers, with assistance from Michigan State Police, executed a search warrant in the 1200 block of Kinneville Road in Leslie. Officers were initially called to the residence for an unrelated complaint. Upon observing unsanitary living conditions, Animal Control Officers seized 22 cats and 44 birds from the residence including chickens, ducks, guinea fowl, a turkey, and one deceased pet rodent.
