Ingham County Animal Control and Shelter Low-Cost Spay & Neuter Voucher Program

ICACS funds a subsidized spay and neuter program which is designed to fund surgeries for low-income households that need their dog or cat spayed or neutered.  To be eligible to participate in this program you must be an Ingham County resident, your animal must also be located within Ingham County and you must show proof of financial need.  (WIC or Bridge Card, unemployment paperwork, Social Security retirement or disability paperwork)

Voucher prices will only cover the cost of the spay/neuter surgery, as well as rabies and distemper vaccines if needed.  Any additional services performed will be the responsibility of the pet owner. 

To purchase a voucher please visit the shelter in Mason.  Payment, drivers license and proof of need are required at the time of purchase.  

You will need to provide your driver’s license with a current Ingham County address, as well as your payment at the time of purchase.

Current voucher prices are listed here.  Dogs over 110 pounds will be charged an additional $50 at the time of their appointment to be paid directly to the clinic.
