Donate to ICACS

The services provided by Ingham County Animal Control & Shelter are made possible through the generosity of the citizens of Ingham County and the mid-Michigan area. Many of our shelter programs would not be possible without your generous contributions.

This year we will care for over 5,000 animals that come to the shelter or use shelter assistance programs.  Please consider donating to add to their care and comfort during their time with us, and support pets in need.

Your generous financial donations help us fund the following programs:

  • Animal cruelty investigations.
  • Surgeries for injured animals in need.
  • Medications like heartworm treatment and prescription foods.
  • Community outreach and education.
  • Low-cost wellness clinics for families in need.
  • ICACS dog house program to provide dog houses.

Top Donation Ideas

  • KONG Toys & Cheez Whiz- Our enrichment teams staple! Kongs are the red or black rubber toys shaped like a bee hive that can be found in most pets stores. They keep the dogs busy and entertained for hours because they work hard to get the cheez whiz out.
  • Martingale collars
  • Canned cat food-always needed for kittens and senior cats and those rehabilitating.
  • Paper towel- because pets never stop making messes!
  • Collars & Leashes for medium to large dogs. We especially like the collars with the plastic snap buckles.
  • Braunschweiger- These work better then a spoon full of sugar for hiding doggy meds.
  • Fleece blankets rather than bed sheets

Dog House Program

ICACS is in need of dog houses to provide to families in need.  If you have a dog house that you no longer need, we will come pick it up!  Please call us at (517) 676-8315 and we will have one of our staff members pick it up from your yard.
