I Received a Ticket- What Do I Do?

FIX-IT TICKETS

As a courtesy, an Animal Control Officer may issue a fix-it ticket for dog licensing violations, giving you up to three business days to purchase a dog license at an approved location in order to “fix” the ticket. Fixing a fix-it ticket does not waive the delinquent license fee, however, it does prevent the ticket from going to court for additional fines.

Fix-it tickets have the fix-it due date written on the ticket “*FIX IT BY xx-xx-xx*”. Additionally, the ticket will have the appropriate court information listed on the ticket.

Failure to “fix” the ticket by the end of business on the date listed on your fix-it ticket will result in the ticket being sent to court. If you have not fixed your ticket by the end of business on the date listed on your fix-it ticket, you will need to contact the court listed on your ticket within 10 days of the date the ticket was issued.
